Our Story
It began with a mother who chose each garment with deep consideration and care.
A little girl who felt a sense of belonging and confidence in those garments: her non-negotiable pink cashmere blouse for Sunday church, the outfit she sported on picture day, her turn for “show-and-tell” at preschool...
Sisters who shared beloved hand-me-downs...
And a grandmother who tucked away tiny shoes, blouses, and treasured dresses, bringing them out each summer to wander through memories and to show what she hoped would one day be worn and loved again by her great-grandchildren.
As you may have guessed, that lucky little girl was me. And owing to my mother’s and grandmother’s intentions, those carefully chosen, cheerfully worn, and lovingly kept pieces will one day belong to my children, nephews, and nieces.
And our name, Rama Baby? The first two letters of my maternal grandparents’ names: Rade & Mara.
Our watermelon logo? A remembrance of their watermelon farm in Croatia, where love was sewn into every season.
